Speech-Language pathology service – working in partnership with others, using different support strategies e.g. sign language and pictures, to develop understanding and use of language together with speech sound skills, social communication, fluency and feeding skills from birth to school aged children.

    • Understanding of spoken language and social situations to guide communication skills and build connections.

    • Being able to express needs, wants, ideas and emotions in ways that build community and family connections.

    • Breaking barriers through communication and interaction for learning and development.

  • Service Scope

    Clinical areas of service may include, but are not limited to:

    • speech sound production;

    • voice;

    • fluency;

    • pre-linguistic communication;

    • language comprehension and expression;

    • pre-literacy and literacy skills

    • cognitive communication;

    • social (pragmatic) communication;

    • feeding and swallowing;

    • alternative and augmentative communication;

  • Eligibility

    Services are provided to children from birth to five years of age to improve communication skills and/or oral motor skills.
