Early Years Drop-In

Tuesdays & Wednesdays | 10:30 am – 11:30 am

Birth to 6 years | Drop-in | CDC - 690 2 Ave N, Williams Lake

Early Years is a play-based drop-in group for children birth to age 6 and their caregivers.

Families are invited to join us for hands-on learning through play, connection, and exploration. Each month, our theme inspires activities such as sensory play, stories, music, movement, crafts, and playful experiences that support children’s confidence, friendships, communication, and everyday skills.

Early Years is also a place for caregivers to connect with other families, staff, ask questions, and learn about helpful resources and services in a supportive environment.

This Month at Early Years

This months theme: Colours Everwhere!

This month, Early Years is exploring Colours Everywhere with playful opportunities to move, create, notice, and discover. Children and caregivers can enjoy rainbow tunnels, colourful pretend play, sensory activities, quiet colouring, and hands-on exploration that supports confidence, connection, creativity, and everyday skills through play.

Three Play Zones

Each Early Years session is set up with three flexible play zones so children and caregivers can participate in the way that feels right for them.

Move & Play
This active play zone gives children space to move their bodies, build confidence, and practise skills like balance, coordination, climbing, crawling, jumping, and exploring through movement.

Together Time
This connection-focused zone encourages caregivers and children to play alongside one another, try activities together, and build everyday skills through shared play and interaction.

Calm & Explore
This quieter play zone offers a gentler space for children who may want slower-paced activities, sensory exploration, or a place to pause, regulate, and play at their own pace.
