The morning of December 10th brought more than just the aroma of fresh coffee and warm pancakes this year. It brought a powerful reminder of how much good can happen when a community comes together for a shared purpose. The Cariboo Chilcotin Child Development Centre's Christmas Wish Breakfast 2025 was a shining example of generosity and kindness in action. Thanks to the incredible support of local residents, businesses, and partners, this event collected over 1,560 toys and raised funds that surpassed last year’s total. These contributions will directly support children, youth, and families across the Cariboo Chilcotin region, helping to brighten their holiday season.
Whether you joined us for breakfast, dropped off a toy, made a financial donation, or helped spread the word, your involvement made a real difference. This post celebrates the spirit behind the event, highlights the impact of your generosity, and shares a glimpse of the joyful moments from the morning. Interested in seeing for yourself? A Morning Filled with Heart and Hope
The Christmas Wish Breakfast has become a beloved tradition in our community, extending across 20 years of delivery, and this year’s event was no exception. From the moment doors opened, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement and goodwill. Families, friends, and neighbors gathered not just to enjoy a meal but to contribute to a cause that touches many lives.
The turnout was remarkable, with 936 meals served! More than 1,560 toys were collected, each one destined to bring a smile to a child’s face. Alongside the toys, generous donations poured in, exceeding last year’s fundraising efforts. This increase means more resources to support support local children and families in need.
The event’s success reflects the deep care and commitment of our community members. It shows that when people unite around a common goal, they can create meaningful change.
